Understanding the Bootloader and the Effects of Unlocking

Bootloader is a tool that loads system software into the device and prioritizes processes running on the phone.

The bootloader is locked on new phones to prevent damage to this tool from unauthorized use or modification.

However, you can use Boot Loader Unlock to unlock this tool and access special system functions.

By unlocking the bootloader, you can install your own firmware on your Android phone and get full access rights to make changes to your phone.

These changes could include changing preinstalled software or even replacing the entire operating system. Some developers and enthusiasts unlock and root to experiment with apps or custom versions of Android.

Locked Bootloader

It's a way to restrict your access to in-memory application code so you can't read or write it. It does this in various ways in software and hardware.

With Software:

Pros and Cons of unlocking Android Bootloader

Pros

Sometimes it helps to install a ROM of your choice. The usefulness of Flash and Custom ROM is a matter of use where there is something for everyone. Either the game flashes (it happens and so does my case, curiosity, etc.).

Either on the quality, because sometimes custom ROMs are graphically very well executed, or they are useful after minimal installation requirements (ROM CyanogenMod).

The unlocked bootloader allows us to load any kernel (intended for our terminal, of course), regardless of whether it has been approved by the company or not.

This is advantageous for us because the kernels themselves work well on a regular basis; some contain recovery or modules (overclocking, false double tapping, etc.).

Cons

Although the unlocking process is very simple, it carries risks and will definitely void your phone's warranty.

In any case, you are responsible for any damage to your phone. The bootloader is a set of instructions that check the terminal hardware and then load the kernel operating system (in our case Android).

Manufacturers usually block it so that only approved kernels can load it and skip the scene.

Note some major disadvantages because encryption support may be lost; There is also a possibility that your device will be permanently damaged. Some applications and buttons (eg Bluetooth, radio) may not work properly. And most importantly, it will void your device warranty.
