How to Flash MediaTek Phone Using SP Flash Tool

SP Flash Tool is a program used for phones with MediaTek chipsets as a firmware flashing tool. The Sp Flash Tool itself was developed by the MediaTek company as a measuring tool for the development of processor devices to determine the capabilities of the processor.

In addition SP Flash Tool also has other functions:

• Flashing custom rom
• Install recovery like TWRP
• Resurrecting a totally dead phone
• Format and Reset MediaTek phone
• Verify on Memory Test

Before flashing, you first prepare the necessary materials:

Latest SP Flash Tool Software

MediaTek VCOM Drivers

Firmware for your phone [search on google]

File in the form of Scatter.txt

USB Cable

Let's get started

Warning: Don't format if you're not sure and don't have the stock rom of your phone.

1. Open the SP Flash Tool and enter the scatter by clicking Scatter-loading on the right
2. Turn off the phone
3. Click the Format Tab, and never format the Android Secure Boot
4. In the dialog box that appears, make sure you select Auto Format Flash and Format whole flash without Bootloader
5. Click OK and then connect the phone with a USB cable
6. Progress will run until it says Success [green circle]
7. Disconnect the phone from the computer

Time For Flashing

1. On the Download tab, uncheck the items you don't want to flash
2. Make sure Download Only is selected
3. If everything feels right, click the Download button
4. Connect the phone using usb cable
5. If a new window appears with a green circle, it means the process is complete
6. Disconnect the phone and remove the battery, then put it back in and turn it on
7. Do a Factory Reset to prevent errors

To note:

• Do not occasionally format Secure Boot, because it causes SP FLash Tool to ask for authentication which requires official firmware.
• Flashing can be done with the battery in the phone or removed
• Do not enter the wrong scatter file. Use the scatter file according to your cellphone.
• You can use scatters from other tools such as Chinese Miracle 2, WWR MTK, and NCK Pro.

If the phone turns off after using the SP Flash Tool but it still sounds when connected to a computer, follow these steps:

• Remove and install the battery then press the power button
• Connect the phone with the charger while pressing the power and volume up buttons
• If the phone uses the built-in battery, hold down the power button and connect the phone to the charger
